Does Stanford provide secure wireless?

The Stanford WiFi network is not considered secure because the data over WiFi is not encrypted. Network access is managed by the Stanford network registration process.

If you wish your WiFi traffic to be secure and encrypted, use the Stanford Virtual Private Network (VPN) or the global eduroam network.
